About Me
Hi, I’m Charles Forster. I’m glad you’re here!
I am a designer turned engineer and entrepreneur. Back in 2008, I closed up my design studio to be a cofounder in Vine & Grain, a startup focused on bringing efficiency and accuracy to liquor management for the bar and restaurant industry. Even though that startup ultimately failed, we grew and learned a tremendous amount.
Shortly after Vine & Grain closed up, we pivoted to start Skunk Worx Lab, a software development startup based in Austin, TX. Since then, we’ve built custom software solutions for companies all over the world, including San Francisco, London, Miami, and Texas to name a new.
Over the last 10+ years of managing a team of designers, engineers, QA staff (not to mention client projects) I’ve shifted from designer to engineer to leadership. Personal growth was not an option, it was a requirement.
I started reading personal development and leadership development books by authors like Tim Ferris and Daniel Pink. I developed practices, mental models, and tactics for myself. That led to faster personal growth than I thought possible.
